SEMH Teaching Assistant - Scale 4

Working Pattern: Part-time, term time only

Actual Salary Range: £21,035 - £22,274 p.a. inc.

Hours: 30 hours x 39 weeks per annum

Starting: January 2025

We are looking to appoint Scale 4 Teaching Assistant to join our support staff team. This candidate will be working with children with identified SEMH needs. This may be in the form of 1:1 work or small group work outside and inside the classroom.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Show commitment and enthusiasm for working with all children;
  • Demonstrate good understanding of inclusive practice to enable children with SEND to access learning and make good progress;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Be able to use initiative to adapt learning to the specific needs of the children;
  • Have experience of working with children with SEMH needs;
  • Have experience of delivering high quality intervention;
  • Be a team player who relishes contributing as part of a larger collective;
  • Be flexible and adaptable to work across the primary age range and in collaboration with other members of staff.

Applicants should have achieved a level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or GCSE grade 4 (formally Grade C) in English and Mathematics.
